Mobile blood collection unit

The first special purpose vehicle made in Bolehovo - a mobile blood collection station - left the factory in 1996. Its successor is an electric bus adapted for blood collection.

Autobus za prikupljanje krvi

The world's first mobile blood donation center in an electric bus - Solaris Urbino 8.9 LE electric - was presented in 2018.

Autobus za doniranje krvi

The electric bus for blood collection is designed and built in such a way as to enable the smooth maintenance of blood donation actions in city centers, shopping centers, sports halls, i.e. in places where conventional vehicles with a normal combustion engine cannot be used. With an electric drive of 160 kW and batteries with a capacity of 160 kWh, the bus ensures an emission-free operating mode even in terms of heating or air conditioning, as well as when all the devices in the vehicle are working.

The first emission-free blood collection bus was produced for the Regional Blood Donation Center (RCKiK) in Katowice. The Solaris Urbino 8.9 LE electric resembles a standard bus from the outside, but it is adapted to the needs of donating and storing blood. In accordance with the requirements of the RCKiK in Katowice, the manufacturer equipped the bus with two specialized mobile salons for blood donors, a doctor's office, a reception desk, and a small catering area.

Oribus

One of the first special purpose buses made at the Bolehovo factory was the Oribus, a mobile beauty salon. It was produced for the well-known cosmetics company Oriflame. This extraordinary "beauty salon" is based on the Neoplan Transliner tourist bus.
